.: Pan Mee DiNneR :.

on the 1st week of my class....hehehe....i made.....home made PanMee for dinner...hehehe...keng ler me...me made it from scratch !!!!
when was that??..it was a Thursday nite...on the 9th October 2008...
By the way..PanMee is a kind of noodle...some call it the *flat noodle*..

Hehehe....before beginning with making the PanMee..me talked to my Aunt back in Malaysia..to confirm the ingredients of the dough..and lucky me..i am on the right track..hehehehe....

so how from scratch is it???...well...from flour...egg...water...oil...salt...all raw ingredients...even till me myself also cant believe that i actually did it...hehehe....so..wat we need for a homemade PanMee...with soup??...we need the dough...fried salted anchovies..fried challots...some veges...minced marinated pork...and also the anchovies base soup...hehehe...

trust me..making the dough is not easy process...it took me about 45 minutes to finally finish the dough...and it's really hard work...started from only flour with eggs...then added some oil...salt n water..and start mixing...hahaha...it's a good exercise though...after done with the dough...let it to aside for like 1 hour...so that the PanMee will taste better...like we Chinese say...so that it will taste "QQ"...hehehehe....and at the mean time...me make the minced pork...chop n minced the pork...then marinate it with a bit of soy sauce, sesame oil and corn flour...then let it settle...wow...lots of things to do...by the way..these pork are to be dump into the soup n boiled together...hehehehe..

anyway...i managed to get all the preparation work done on time..and by the time Chia and Kart come home..they just start tearing the PanMee into slices n throw into the soup...heheh...so here it goes...how does my Pan Mee looked like...from the beginning...the process and the result..hehehe.....

Back in Malaysia..i always help my Aunt or Mom tear the dough...and this is my first time...very first time making and cooking it from scratch...kekeke...

Saturday...Sunny day....nice weather...cooling...not too cold...
great day to go walk walk around London..also for me to de-stress from the heavy coursework-load & presentation-load...really lots of things to do....tonnes...and it's piling up...OMG !!!

but...luckily...i got Chia...my sis to bring me go walk walk around London to de-stress...hahahaha...so we went to New Bond Street, Oxford Street, Borough Market, Embankment & covent Garden today....and wat we had n done??...well...Lot's of things...we went to many different places and ate lots of great food...see lots of great things n views too...hehehe...

in the morning..after wake up....had some breakfast...get ourselves prepared...we took off to Oxford Street....to TopShop...Chia wanna to exchange the long pants she bought...after exchanging..we had our light lunch a EAT which is inside the Topshop...we had the Mexican Chicken Hot Wrap + Hot Chocolate...yum yum yum!!!...and next stop...the New Bond Street...for wat??...to go to the Louis Vuitton boutique to exchange my new LV wallet...well...i bought the Red one on the day it arrived....it's a new arrival product...then only then i know they have a White one too...so..went back to New Bond Street to change it...but they r out of stock...n they asked us to go to the one at Selfridges...Oxford Street....so me n Chia...walk all the way back to Oxford Street...and guessed wat...there are soooo many ppl in the LV boutique at Selfridges...me n Chia waited for quite some time only got ppl come n serve us...and...after waiting so long...they told me i can't exchange it there...i have to get back to New Bond Street and call them to transfer the purse over...i was like...wat???...so u wan us to walk back there.e..but luckily..the manager is a really nice person...so she said...she'll exchange it for me here at Selfridges...hehehe..yay!!!...i finally got my White Insolite Monogram Rouge...yay!!! after the happy exhange of products for me n Chia...off to go us both to Borough Market...via tube...to the London Bridge Station...and..ta-da...here we are at the Borough Market !!!

upon arrival..Chia straight away bring me to this CheeseCake stall..and she told me...the cheesecake in this stall is real nice...and we bought 2 slices of Bailey's and 1 slice of New York Cheesecake...and the cake is...well..absolutely...delicious...hahahahaha...and they are all freshly homemade...

after that...both of us started walking around here n there...saw so many good food...all home made...ya...and i bought this French Yogurt...homemade too...

after buying the yogurt...we came across this stall selling brownies...and they are like...so delicious...Chia says they taste great..so we bought 1 slice home to eat...hehehe...and it Chocolate Brownie...yay!!...my fave !!!

so wat's next??...well..next...is the MUST EAT Thing in Borough Market...especially for Cheese & Potato Lovers..jus like me n Chia...hahahah...and seriously..this food...is...well....fantastically fabulous...the blend of the cheese with the pepper...and the potatoes cooked till softly n well-blended with the salt...it's just fabulous !!!!

after that...both of us went testing food here n there....taking pictures and snapping shots here n there..and...believe me..there are so many ppl there...buying n selling...and most things there are freshly homemade...ya...they have this oyster stall there...selling fresh oysters...and..the queue was so long....so many ppl buy them...Chia did asked me to try some..but..am not in the mood to eat raw food tat day..thus din have them...then we moved on with our food adventure here...and we made it to the fish!kitchen...selling fish n chips...cos both of us are sooo full...so we jus take away a set of Haddock Fish & Chips...to bring back home for dinner..hehehe....

at the outside...no..more like another part of the market..they have these stalls seeling fruits n veges n mushrooms....and see....the melons...NoNoNo...they are pumpkins..hehehe..my mistake..these long oval thingie are pumpkins...not melons...hehehehe....wow..how can they be so huge...hahaha...

so..tat's not jus all..after busy eating n walking at Borough Market..Chia brought me to Embankment...and we walked along the River Thames...had great view of London with the London Eye, Big Ben, House of Parliament...and many many more...and we wne to Covent Garden too...where there are lots of street play...and shopping area...and Ben's Cookies too...hehehehe....and we event went to this mini shopping mall at Covent Garden too...

so...that's it...my wonderful Saturday...walk around London with my dear Sister Chia...

in London...we did many crazy things...one of it is..how to deal with take-away meals after a few hours...well..tat day..me n Chia went to Ikea again..yes...visited Ikea...the 2nd time in one week...and this time..hahah..we went there with a Luggage...big luggage...why??...hehehe...remember i mentioned that Ikea here does not provide plastic bags etc to carry all the things we'd purchased...thus this time..we brought a Luggage with us to carry all the stuffs...heheheh...crazy right...hehehe..

So...for dinner..Kart went to da-pao..take away Burger King for me..she bought it quite early...so meaning when we are back from Ikea..the burger & fries are cold n not crispy anymore...hehehe...so wat did i do...microwave my Royale Chicken burger...and for fries??...hehehehe...we shall see...

so..for the fries...we can't microwave it..cos it will make it softer..not more crispy...so wat did we do in the end??...hehehe...we grilled it..more like toss n turn n fry it on the pan...without needing to put any oil...why no oil??...firstly...it's a non-stick pan...second..there's oil in the fries...so by adding oil..it'll become oily-er...more oily...no good la...hehehehehehe....and the crazy part is...this is our first time doing such thing..and took picture of it...hahahahahahaha....

so...wat's next after the great dim sum meal at Yauatcha??...hehehe..it's dessert time !!!
we went to have cream puff at the Beard Papa Cafe..hehehe...never thought that they have Beard Papa here in London as well...i'd never tried the Beard Papa back in Malaysia before...and now..am here having the cream puffs at Beard Papa London..hehehe.. :)

after tat...me n Chia supposed to go to Selfridges to get the limited edition Coke that is on sale there...we actually wanted to go buy one..mana tahu...after walking for a long distance...and by the time we reach there...Selfridges closed already..meaning..i can't buy it today...have to come back here again another day to get it lo...i MUST buy the limited Coke bottle...hehehehee....

On Sunday...me went for Dim Sum Brunch at Yauatcha...with Chia and her group of frens...hehehe...this is my first time there...and why are we all here??....cos one of Chia's fren says the dim sum here are not bad...so...we are all here to taste them today....about 10 of us went there today...hehehehehe....

By the way...after a week of cold cold weather...today's weather is great....cooling...not cold..plus...it's Sunny today...hehehe..Sunnie's day...yay !!!
